Service Agreement for Self-paced courses

This agreement is between JESSICA ANN DIEHL PHD, operating as Publish It! ("Instructor"), and the individual purchasing a self-paced workshop ("Participant"). By completing a purchase, Participant agrees to the terms below, as well as any offer-specific terms presented at checkout.
The workshops
These terms apply to all self-paced workshops offered through jessica-diehl.com, currently including: Kick-Start Your Paper Bootcamp, Draft It! The Essential Workshop, and Revise & Resubmit It! Each workshop consists of pre-recorded tutorials and access to a community discussion board. Offer-specific details are provided at checkout.
Instructor's guidance is educational and advisory in nature. Nothing in this course constitutes legal, medical, or professional advice of any other kind.
Access
Upon purchase, Participant receives immediate access to all course tutorials and the community discussion board. Access is granted with no expiration date and is for the sole use of the purchasing Participant. Materials may not be shared, redistributed, or reproduced without written permission.
Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of purchase, or according to the payment plan schedule selected at checkout, where available. All prices are in USD. Student discounts, where offered, require a discount code requested through the contact page prior to purchase.
Refund policy
All purchases are non-refundable. Because course content is accessible immediately upon purchase, no refunds will be issued after checkout is complete. If you are unsure whether a workshop is right for you, free preview content is available in the Library at jessica-diehl.com/library, and you are welcome to reach out before purchasing.
Participant conduct
Participants are expected to engage respectfully in all course spaces, including the community discussion board. Participation in the community discussion board is governed by the Publish It! Community Agreement, which Participants agree to upon joining. Instructor reserves the right to remove a Participant from course access for conduct that is disruptive, harassing, or otherwise harmful, without refund.
Intellectual property
Participants retain full ownership of all work submitted or discussed. Course materials — including tutorials, frameworks, workbooks, and written resources — are the intellectual property of JESSICA ANN DIEHL PHD and may not be shared, redistributed, or reproduced without written permission.
Limitation of liability
Instructor's liability is limited to the amount paid for the workshop. Instructor makes no guarantees regarding publication outcomes, peer review results, journal acceptance, or any other third-party decision.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
Changes to this agreement
Instructor may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted at jessica-diehl.com. Terms in effect at the time of purchase govern that transaction.
